Before beginning any service procedure in this

NOTICE:
Do not remove the hose clamp at the filler neck hose
to fuel tank connection. The plastic tank is susceptible to damage with
over torquing and or multiple re-torques.

Disconnect the battery ground cable.
Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, General Procedures).

NOTE:
The supplement refueling adapter is located in the
luggage compartment. Install the supplemental refueling adapter and a
length of semi-rigid fuel drain tube into the Easy Fuel ™ (capless) fuel
tank filler pipe. Push the drain tube to the bottom of the filler neck
to open the flapper door at the fuel tank inlet.

Attach the Fuel Storage Tanker to the fuel drain hose
and drain as much fuel as possible from the Easy Fuel ™ (capless) fuel
tank filler pipe, lowering the fuel level below the fuel tank inlet
spout.

When reusing liquid or vapor tube connections, make sure to
use compressed air to remove any foreign material from the connector
retaining clip area before separating from the tube or damage to the
tube or connector retaining clip may occur...

Overview
The EVAP
system prevents hydrocarbon emissions from entering the atmosphere by
storing fuel vapors and routing the vapors to the engine to be consumed
during normal engine operation.
The EVAP system consists of:
EVAP canister
EVAP canister purge valve
EVAP canister vent solenoid
EVAP blocking valve
Fuel vapor tubes
Easy Fuel (capless) fuel tank..
Opening the Hood
Inside the vehicle, pull the hood release
handle located under the left-hand
side of the instrument panel.
Slightly lift the hood.
Release the hood latch by pushing the
secondary release lever to your
left-hand side.
Open the hood. Support the hood with
the strut.
Closing the Hood
Remove the hood strut from the catch
and secure it correctly after use.
