Ford Fusion: Climate Control System - General Information / Ambient Air Temperature Sensor. Removal and Installation
Removal
NOTE:

All vehicles

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview (100-02 Jacking and Lifting, Description and Operation).

Remove the underbody shield.
Vehicles without 2.7L Ecoboost
-
Disconnect the ambient air temperature sensor electrical connector.

Remove the ambient air temperature sensor.
Vehicles with 2.7L EcoBoost
-
Remove the front bumper cover.
Refer to: Front Bumper Cover (501-19 Bumpers, Removal and Installation).

Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the ambient air temperature sensor.
Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

If replacing the ambient air temperature sensor a reset must be performed. Select the A/C and Recirc buttons simultaneously, then release both, within 2 seconds select A/C button again.
