Ford Fusion: Battery, Mounting and Cables / Battery Monitoring Sensor. Removal and Installation

Removal

NOTICE: Do not remove or install the M8 nut (20 Nm) on the cable eyelet bolt while the battery monitoring sensor is attached to the battery post as this causes damage to the sensor, connector, and possibly the battery post and case.

  1. Disconnect the battery.
    Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, General Procedures).
    • Disconnect the battery monitoring sensor electrical connector.
    • Remove the nut and the battery monitoring sensor.
      Torque: 177 lb.in (20 Nm)

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
